The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is as unique and special as the stories that motivate our dedicated walkers, donors and volunteers. Each step we take is personal and each donation helps save lives. Making Strides walks are non-competitive and three to five miles in length. Since 1993, nearly seven million walkers across the country have raised more than $400 million through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer - funding breakthrough breast cancer research and helping people stay well, get well, find cures and fight back. In 2010 alone, more than 800,000 walkers across the country collected more than $60 million to fight breast cancer.
